Digital Content Specialist

JOB BRIEF:
The Digital Content Specialist will work within the Zeeco Marketing group to support global marketing, business development, advertising, branding, and related initiatives. The duties of the Digital Content Specialist include writing, website management, digital content creation and distribution, search marketing, digital asset management, and social media management.
Candidates must have a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, at least one year of full-time experience working in a professional setting, and practical expertise in digital marketing channels and their interdependencies. A successful candidate will be able to understand technical concepts, take on multiple tasks, think critically, and approach projects with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
·        Create content for a variety of platforms, including blogs, websites, emails, social media, and other marketing channels
·        Manage the distribution of assets created by the video production and graphic design teams to both internal and external outlets
·        Execute Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to enhance Zeeco's digital footprint
·        Research industry topics and trends to ensure content is relevant, timely, and appealing to Zeeco's audience
·        Proofread/edit content and obtain necessary approvals before publishing
·        Keep up with content trends, customer preferences, and advancements in technology
·        Manage content calendars and ensure content remains consistent across all platforms
·        Create and enforce deadlines according to the editorial calendar
·        Support quality control of company materials as they relate to brand standards
·        Work with various product groups, global offices, and departments at Zeeco to support the needs of the business
·        Manage and maintain an up-to-date inventory of digital content through the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system
·        Support additional responsibilities, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
·        Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
·        Minimum of one year of full-time experience in a professional setting
·        Aptitude for learning, thinking critically, and adapting to a fast-paced environment
·        Ability to meet critical deadlines
·        Strong attention to detail
·        Ability to grasp technical concepts
·        Experience using content marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, etc.
·        Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
·        Experiencein executing digital marketing campaigns - including social media, email, landing pages, automation, forms, etc.
·        Versed in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
·        Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
·        Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
·        Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
·        Passion for marketing and a strong desire to learn and progress in the field
·        Team player with a positive attitude

PREFERRED:
·        2-5+ years marketing, advertising, social media, journalism, or public relations experience
·        Experience using HubSpot and Semrush
·        Intimate knowledge of AP style guidelines
·        Experience in the oil and energy industry
